Whither "Culture of Life"

I know Bush speaks greatly about a "culture of life" in his decision to speak in favor of the parents of Terri Schiavo.

Did he have Sun Hudson in mind when he spoke of this culture of life? Sun Hudson was a 6-month old boy that was taken off life support in spite of the objections of his parents under the authority of a law that Bush signed when he was governor. Where were the teaming masses speaking out in support of Sun Hudson's parents? Why isn't anyone but a handful of people criticizing Bush's hypocrisy?

I would like to hear Mr. Bush defend his decision to sign that law. I would like to hear Mr. Santorum, Bill Frist, and others stand up and justify the hospital's decision to take a baby off life support in the midst of their moral outrage over Terri Schiavo.

I know it won't happen. That would require the kind of moral fortitude and clarity you don't see in politics today.
