When the shooting occurred at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, a majority of the right-leaning pundits leaped upon the fact that the shooter Naveed Afzal Haq looks Arab and has a Muslim sounding name. Chief in laying the case was our own "Lady of the Death Camps" Michelle Malkin, who posted "evidence" that he was Muslim and his attack was against the center because apparently all Muslims don't like Israel, or something like that.
Except he's not Muslim. He converted to Christianity last year, and his attack was more about Israel's bombing of Lebanese civilians and the US foreign policy in Iraq. He's apparently a very unstable person, and this was a tragedy that unfolded from that instability.
Rather than be deterred by her incorrectness, Malkin added a link across the top of her post which points to 'a random gallery of "lone" shooters' ( quotes hers, I guess implying that they're working together as part of some larger network, or maybe that Allah told them to do it, whaterver ). This is meant to demonstrate to us how there are all these muslims acting out their aggression through violence on civilians. This is her munificent proof, ladies and gentleman, that Muslims are EVIL and should be locked up in concentration camps.
So let us turn our attention for a second to Eric Rudolph and Timothy McVeigh. Good Christian boys, like Bobby Frank Cherry, recently convicted for involvement in the bombing of churches in Birmingham, AL. Maybe we should round up the Christians of certain fundamentalist demoninations and throw them camps as well.
You think she'd go for that? Of course not. She wouldn't want to advocate anything radical.

Wow. I was reading your post early this morning and decided to check out the Michelle Malkin post you were referring to. She is all over the place.
She goes on a mild rant about how Naveed Afzal Haq (who carried out the attack mentioned in your post) may have had a history of mental illness and how she has heard of this before citing examples like Zacarias Moussaoui, Lee Malvo (who believed in a violent brand of Islam and BLACK SEPARATISM) and Mohammed Masoud Khalil (who ATTEMPTED a knife attack at some CHRISTIANS in CAIRO, EGYPT on July 11).
Malkin then goes on to tell David Gomez, the assistant special agent-in-charge of the Seattle FBI office, to "get a clue" as she believes that "the Muslim shooting suspect is part of 'a larger organization' of Jew-haters worldwide who hate Israel and want to see Jews dead."
Wait a minute. Mohammed Masoud Khalil ATTEMPTED a knife attack at some CHRISTIANS at a CHURCH in CAIRO, EGYPT on July 11. Not any JEWS but CHRISTIANS. Man, it must be bad for those poor mentally-ill Jewish hating folks when they get so angry at Israel that they just lose it and can't even tell who they're supposed to attack as part of "a larger organization" of Jew-haters worldwide who hate Israel and want to see Jews dead.
This chick is mental. The whole post is ridiculous as she continues on to slander Naveed Afzal Haq's family in a failed attempt to make a point. Malkin can't cite fully credible sources to support her viewpoint, she expounds her insight in contrast to what the evidence is telling the FBI and she insists on something akin to a large global conspiracy aimed at destroying people of the Jewish faith and Israel without any specifics. Man, good to know religious freedom and tolerance are still alive and well in the Good 'ol US of A. But hey, we still have free speech =)
