I promised more information on Brian Douglas Wells, the pizza delivery guy from Erie, PA that robbed the bank while wearing the collar-bomb and blew up while surrounded by the State Police.
The FBI has put up the following page seeking more information. It looks like, from the evidence they've released, and the information they're seeking that Mr. Wells was indeed coerced into committing the crime, and was not acting on his own.
Also, the cane gun that he was carrying was provided to him by the same person who placed the bomb around his neck.

There is a video of the collar bomb exploding around the neck of Brian Wells and the footage is quite unusal yet terrifying. It's almost like a bad Hollywood effect, because the power of the explosion blows his entire head and neck apart like it were a balloon bursting and it appears that a portion of his chest colapses into his body, the presence of gore and graphic violence is almost entirely absent from the video.
I work in a supermaxx prison, and crimes of this magnitude are " sad, but true" and more commonplace than you would think. Many of the people we house are verry capable of comitting this act, don't fool yourself, these people roam the streets until they are caught.As the others have stated, these crimes and worse are a fact of life, weather we would like to admit it or not.
do you not think that what was done to to brian wells was a bit like watching the film SAW? Its he same type thing in which people have only a certain amount of time to do things before either they die or someone they know does .....
we want to see the bizzare because we see normality 24 / 7 / 365 i saw this video at my news desk the day it was recorded ... my prayes go out to his family ' after all they have to live with the memory.. brian is free... so next time you look for gore remember his family instead
I have looked at the website for brian wells @ brianwells.net and the evidence I they show there isn't matching up 100%. I know they can't show all of the letter and have to black out parts of it for security reasons- but even the maps don't match one another. does anyone have an answer for that?
