"Nicole has played the role of a widow in the unusual film and two scenes have sparked outrage among executives. The Oscar-winning actress and the boy strip off together to submerge in bubbles and also lock their lips in the film."

huh? WTF is that? I'm all for artistic expression, and fine if they could do this legally and it makes some moving point about love and life, but I'm sorry, that's just twisted.

Maybe it's just me being up at 5.08 AM that's got me in a bad mood.

MAURICE REEVES!!! Your judgementalism shocks me.. and you call yourself both an artist and a fan of THE L WORD. What did Bette constantly say to the protesters of her exhibit who called it amoral and filty and twisted? She simply asked if they had even bothered to see the works of art first before judging them. someone's simplistic- out- of- context- recounting of a painting, a poem, a film or a song can cause a work to be viewed as completely disgusting.. but viewed within the context of a story the effect may not be such a vile one... conversly, something as innoculous as a jar of peanut butter can become abhorent if used improperly...it's all down to context and frame of reference. and most of america has become so out of practice at thinking critically about an issue that they just take things at face value and mouth off about them. Sorry, but i know you well enough to expect more from you. I believe that judgement should be reserved for the end result of the piece. Don't shoot it in the foot before it has a chance to be viewed in it's intended context.
