The Village

I had occasion to stay at home and I finished watching "The Village". I loved it.

I goddamn loved it, even though I had a strong suspicion what the "secrets" were. I don't know why everyone keeps attacking M. Night Shyamalan. He's trying to do every movie different and follow different visions, but I guess the mewling masses just want carbon copies of "The Sixth Sense" over and over again.

I guess that's why they keep making movies like Booty Call 12 and Look Who's Talking Too Much.

I'd like to be the first to mail Night my check for $100 to keep making movies that entertain me, and by gar, make me think. The rest of you can go wait for the latest sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer.

I so so so so so agree with you about the M.Night Backlash... to me, the "big surprize" of Sixth Sense wasn't the surprize itself, it was always in how M.Night showed it....
i think that consistantly is what keeps me going back for more M.Night.. His work for me is always fascinating due to HOW he does it.. not necessarily WHAT the catch is..

Do you have a copy of Booty Call 12? I have 1-8, that's when Jamie Foxx stopped doing them. Kind of like Guttenberg and the Police Academy Movies, after 8 go-arounds, you've kind of fleshed the charcater out.

UGH... Brian.. i swear. My brain cells LEAVE my cranium in pre-emptive self defense ... they didn't want to die from reading your posts!!
