I got on the train this morning and I really intended to get to work on some code. I yanked the laptop out of my bag and booted it up when suddenly this giant of a black man leaned over and asked me about my laptop. Steve, it turns out, is a huge anime and comic book fan, which was awesome. He wanted to talk to me about being able to watch movies on a laptop on the train.
He kept talking about one anime series called "Gunslinger Girl" which, like almost ALL anime is about young school girls with guns. But apparently this one is the shit. I'm kind of bummed that I put my Netflix account on hold now, because I want to rent it, but I think, based on what he was saying and my own immediate impression of the object, my own instinct, that I should just go ahead and buy the first of the series because I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it.
