I Hate The Eagles but...

I hope the Eagles clean T.O.'s clock. Seriously, I hope that T.O. eats so much turf at the Linc that he shits blades of grass for two weeks. I had to hear so much about the whole T.O. saga while I lived in Philly that I have so much hate for that man. There were weeks where every story on the news was T.O. this, T.O. that...it was disgusting.

I share your hatred of the Eagles, and especially the vast majority of Philly fans in general...but why hate him? The man is undoubtedly a showman, but really, is it his fault that the media curtsies to his whims, and plays his games? They are the ones who are/were obsessed, and giving him the lines on the pages. Sure, he obviously loves being the center of attention, and he is cocky as all hell, but seriously, you've gotta put the main blame on the whole T.O. fracas as being the horribly overbearing Philadelphia media AND fanbase, that's just how those sorry sacks are down there. It's such a negative city (I would argue more so than mainstream America, but negativity sells papers and gets ratings, so why not sell your soul...?) that it was bound to happen. I just wish that Dallas could have walked out with a victory today, and Owens would have scored the game-winning touchdown. Alas, it wasn't to be. The Cowboys lost, as did Maurice's Redskins, and so did the Steelers, much to my shagrin. The world is truly upside down, methinks.

Jeff, congrats! You're my 1000 commenter! :)

Yeah, the world was upside down last Sunday. I can only hope that this Sunday is going to be better.
