I Already Have the Soundtrack for Keanu's Next Movie Picked Out

| | Comments (5)

You know how it is. You hear a song you've never heard before and it immediately clicks in your head.

"This is clearly the soundtrack to Keanu's next movie!"

Happens to me all the time, or it did, until I heard E-Nomine, at which point all other contenders were convincingly bested.

And it's not just enough to tell you about the band. It's not just enough to tell you about what the movie should be. I brought the music for you:

SeeqPod - Playable Search

So hit play, go ahead. I'll wait while it queues.

Alright...so here it is.

After years of fighting supernatural forces in Germany's Teufel Wald Keanu Reeves is on the run from everyone. But just when he thinks he's going to get away from his old life completely...he must go back in to save the only two women he's ever loved. His wife and his daughter. And to save them, he must face...the Devil!

You're already seeing the trailer aren't you? Dark forbidding forests, fire-breathing beasts, some dark-haired ravenesque woman calling for him, Keanu sporting his fake British accent (even though he's supposed to be German), and all the while E-Nomine's music is playing. It's got everything. Pulsing techno beats, teutonic choirs, the German lyrics, lots of echo and "sppppooooOOOOOkkkkyyyyy noises".

The great thing is that now that I've described the movie for you, you won't have to go see it. It's already played in your head. You're so welcome.

This music is amazingly addictive.

I agree. I think it's fabulous, and I can't stop listening to it, especially at work.

I like the music, but for some reason I can't get over the German. It's like I'm playing Castle Wolfenstein while listening to the Chemical Brothers.

Thump thump thump thump "Halt!" thump thump thump thump "Kommen Sie!" thump thump thump thump.

Oh yeah, totally. All the German is part of what makes it badly good.

It's even more fun if you picture Colonel Klink speaking the lyrics.

The German definitely makes the badness of it.

For additional fun, picture Col. Klink speaking the lyrics, and the image is complete.
