One night, Heather and I were returning from our community theatre after a night of play practice, and it was late. To get home we had to drive through a DUI checkpoint. As we stopped and answered questions, the officer wanted to look in the trunk. It felt terribly invasive. It was terribly invasive. For a few days later I felt dirty, like I'd been violated.
